Hello Guys, have you ever forgotten your PC password, and dnt want to
do a clean install of your OS, cos
thats the common thing, Just when you
forget ur password, and you take ur
laptop to all this tecnicians, dey will
just install new OS and wipe away ur files.... too painfull!!!but today, I've
got a solution to that.
Oya lets Go.... Firstly, switch on the pc, and when
you are to enter your password...
Simple write down the name of the
user or administrative account... its
written above the password text-box...
when that is done... from the right hand corner you'd see a a power
option... click on it and press
RESTART. when the PC is restarting
at the point you see starting windows
(WINDOWS 7) press your power key
to turn off PC illegally... when that is done... switch on your pc again... and
from the options you have...
CLICK on "Launch Starup repair
(Recommended)"....
Yeah, Am back... What this does is it brings up ur windows startup help and
guide u through fixing problems with
your PC... but we will tweak it to serve
our purpose... At this point You have to be extremely
careful and dont mess things Up...
RASH007 wont be responsible for u
bricking ur pc or OS....
when YOU have pressed the launch
startup repair just wait a while and then a windows will prompt up saying
"Startup repair is checking your
system for problems". Just wait till its
done... if u cant wait... go buy coffee and drink while you waitt...
At a time a promptup will appear asking you asking " o You want to restore your computer using
system restore" Just press
"CANCEL"... it will continue ....
showing "attempting repairs" Just wait
and be patient... This will take a long
time, Just leave it and continue drinking your coffee...
Boom!!! A window come up telling you the problem cannot be solved that
they want to send the problem to
microsoft... Microsoft ke? click on " ont Send" now at the bottom of the windows, click on "view
problem details"... and a dropdown
box will appear click on the link
leading a text file... it looks like
something like this... C:windowssystem32en-USerofflps.txt Click on it, This should open up
notepad... click on "File" then click on
open....under the "file type" option
click on open... go to your hard disk...
make sure its your local disk cos in
some cases the later might be interchanged. and navigate to: Windows>>system32>> search for a file called "sethc"
rename it to watever u like e.g Mujaheed but make sure you remember what you renamed it
as... there are a lot of files in there so
be careful. next u look for a file called "cmd"
rename it to "sethc" Note: these files are applications in
some archaic PC you might see
cmd.exe and sethc.exe just add .exe
while renaming thats all. another warning if u go form oversabi
touch any oda file... YOU ARE ON
YOUR OWN. the windows folder of a
PC is not a place for kids, except u
no like ur computer. I'd explain whats happening in a
minute...
yes bro!!! lets finish this we changed "cmd" which is a
command prompt to "sethc" which is
the sticky keys application we see on
the logon screen when we are to enter
the password... the command prompt
is like powerhouse of the PC. if u understand basic registry hack.. u will
never have problem with ur PC, cos u
can always tweak ur PC using
command prompt... that said, after
renaming as stated above just close...
the windows... now click on " ont send" bla bla bla to microsoft... then click on finish... your
PC will go off.. switch it back on.. you wont still be
able to login... press the Shift keys
Five times... and a black box will
appear this box is called the
"command prompt" if u do this to a
normal PC, it will bring the sticky keys option... so thats what i mean by
changing the sticky keys app. now type in the following.. "net user acc_name * " without the
quotes... where acc_name is the name
of the account i told you to write
earlier on. then hit the "enter" key.
the next line will ask you to enter new
password.. it will look like this: type a password for the use: You can just click enter or enter a
password of your choice.... but when
you are typing the password you wont
see what u typing, so b careful. when
you are done another line will come
up like this... Retype the password to continue.. simply hit enter again or u enter your
password u entered the first time...
and hit the enter key. Congrats!!! Your can now login with
the password you created or if u
didnt create any just leave the box
empty and click enter.
Your PC will start-up normally.... now the final step must be done
inorder to avoid trouble go back to
the system32 folder that is... Local_diskwindowssystem32 and
rename those files back to normal...
rename the "sethc" back to cmd.. and
d one i said u shud name klubxy or
nsugbe... back to sethc.
That's all. Note: If u dont rename those files
back to normal, u wont be able to rum
command prompt from normal
windows, so dont forget.
now u have successfully changed ur
password
