El-Zakzaky is scheduled to make a court appearance on Wednesday.
Some Iranian Shi’ites are demanding the immediate release of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
Zakzaky has been in detention since a December 2015 march in Zaria resulted in violence. Several of his followers were killed in recent face-offs with security operatives in Abuja.
“The Nigerian government should know that it could not keep Zakzaky forever in jail,” the group said in a viral video.
The group also threatened to “overthrow” the government of Nigeria if he’s not released.
Zakzaky is scheduled to appear before a Kaduna High Court on Wednesday, November 7, for hearing on his bail application.
