Cristiano Ronaldo completed a £100million transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus in the summer ending his nine-year tenure at the Bernabeu.
During his time in the Spanish capital Ronaldo won the Champions League four times, La Liga and the Copa del Rey twice and the Ballon d'Or on four occasions.
He is one of the greatest players to ever grace the game and as a result one of the best footballers to ever represent Real Madrid.
But there are claims Real Madrid are airbrushing the Portuguese from their history; a claim that has been backed up by a source close to Los Blancos.
According to MailOnline, a source informed the paper that the idea the club is airbrushing Ronaldo is a "solid one", but added this isn't unusual.
So how exactly are Real Madrid supposedly managing this?
Firstly on social media. Shortly after Ronaldo parted company with Real Madrid the club stopped following him on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Ronaldo responded by doing the same thing back. Manchester United, for the record, still follow their former number seven to this day.
Real Madrid have also opted against sharing a picture of Ronaldo alongside Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Luka Modric and Marcelo when showing off their players selected in UEFA's team of 2018 on the club website.
Of course Ronaldo no longer players for Real Madrid, but he did when he was selected in the world's-best XI, and was Los Blancos' standout individual.
Other evidence of Ronaldo being airbrushed is present in the section of Real Madrid's website celebrating the club's recent successes.
While the likes of Modric, Ramos and Marcelo take centre-back in the pictures, Ronaldo, who was at the heart of Real's glory, is featured in just one.
According to the Mail, there is also the suggestion that Real Madrid are doing their best to minimise Ronaldo footage on their official TV channel.
It was only when he left the German side - a Champions League rival to Real Madrid - three years later that Los Blancos gave him a tribute match.
History therefore suggests Ronaldo will be remembered fondly in the same way, but only once his time in Europe comes to an end.
