Apple on Tuesday announced the next generation of iPhones, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch phablet sized iPhone 6 Plus alongside its first wearable, the Apple Watch at an event in Carliforia.
Apple has strayed from is usual 4-inch display sized by unveiling the iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch display and the iPhone 6 Plus with a phablet sized display, 5.5-inches to be precise. Both device has a rounded edge embodied in an anodized unibody aluminium frame and are the thinnest devices ever made by Apple – 6.9mm for the iPhone 6 and 7.1mm for the iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 sports a 1334 x 750 pixels resolution display with a pixel density of 326ppi while the iPhone 6 Plus sports a 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD display with a pixel
density of 401ppi. The former’s display is branded ‘Retina HD’ and both display feature ion-strengthened cover glass. Both devices are powered by Apple’s new A8 chipset, which is said to be 25 percent faster and 50 percent faster Graphics than the A7 chipset. The processor works in collaboration with M8 motion processor and the phone’s sensor options to track data. Both devices rock an 8MP iSight cameras with f/2.2 aperture and a new Focus pixels technology that enables faster autofocus. The device’s camera also has a host of other camera features including image stabilisation and more. Both devices run on iOS 8 and includes Apple’s new payment system called the Apple Pay. Apple Pay used NFC and TouchID to make secure and onetouch
payments online (starting from the US). Connectivity options including the NFC includes 4G LTE Cat.4, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, VoLTE (Voice over LTE), Wi-Fi Calling. The devices come in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. For each storage option on contract, the iPhone 6 available for $199, $299 and $399 while the iPhone 6 Plus is available for $299, $ 399 and $499 on contract. For the Unlocked version, the iPhone 6 is available for $649 (16GB), $749 (64GB) and $849 (128GB) while the iPhone 6 Plus is available for $749, $849 and $949 respectively. Pre-ordering for the device starts on Friday, September 12 and Shipping starts on September 19, starting from the US and would be available in other countries too.

Apple Watch The First Wearable from the Cupertino Giant has been named the Apple Watch and would be available in Early 2015 at a starting price of $ 349.
The Apple Watch is available in three editions – the regular Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Edition and the Apple Watch Sport. The Apple Watch has to be paired with iPhone 6 to be able to function properly and coming october the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C would also be compatible with the smartwatch. The Watch apart from sending & receiving messages, receiving notifications, fitness and
health monitoring, features Siri, tells time and runs outside apps.
